"I work with oil-paints on handmade paper. This paper is manufactured with incrusted tobacco leaves. The leaf must be arranged so as to mimic the folds of the fabric of the cloth that covers the main figure. The leaf is later flattened. When the paper and tobacco have adhered, I then paint on it with oils so as to achieve this result." |
